catching up

I realize it has been a rediculously long time since we have posted... and the sad thing is that there really hasn't been anything exciting going on, or anything particularlly crazy that has kept me from blogging... just the fun of a computer going down, and then the internet pooping out... but really those are just lame excuses... so I am going to try to catch us all up and then try to be better going forward! 

here is a quick run down of what has been going on:
Our garden is going great!  We have actually been eating lettuce out of there for about 3 weeks now, and it is delishious... but then things are always better when you pick them fresh!

Jason has been busy on the house - he restained the front door, and just this last weekend finished restaining our massive deck... they both look awesome and we are looking forward to spending more time on the deck this summer!

Lucy is growing like a weed (at her last doctor's appointment she was in the 75% for height and weight - pretty good since at her 1 year she was in the 10th and 20th respectively) and is currently really in to reading (we average about 6 books a day,) LOVES chuch and all the people that she gets to see there, can tell you several stories from the scriptures, thinks that thunder is Heavenly Father's way of telling her he loves her, and that lightening is Jesus sending flashes to make her happy (she will stop what she is doing to yell into the sky to thank them and tell them that she loves them too whenever this happens! love it!!) and she is also really into all things girly - nails, pretty hair (especially braids) picking out her outfits, jewlery... it is super fun!  She still loves babies and is generally content to sit and stare at them whenever they are near... if the parents are comfortable with her holding and hugging them, she is in Heaven and will sit there for upwards of 15 minutes (for a 2.5 year old, that is pretty good!) just to be there with the baby!  She still asks Heavenly Father for her little brother or sister daily, and we join in those prayers with her, but for now are so happy just having her and being able to focus 100% on Lucy!!

I have been busy with sewing, playing with Lucy, doing hair, and just starting up with some cool new nail stuff.  I love being able to be at home with Lucy and thank Jason all the time for working so hard so that I can stay home with her!

And this one is kinda random... but we went to the zoo today... they have some naked mole rats... they were making me laugh!!
