Water Baby

Lucy has always loved the water... the first bath I gave her, instead of crying like many newborns do... she stretched out and sighed!  It is fun that she still loves it just as much today!  It has been insanely hot here lately (by Colorado standards anyway) so we have been trying to find ways to keep cool while still having fun!  Jaime was kind enough to take us to the pool today.  It is the second time we have been able to go with her this summer, and it is fun because it is the pool at the apartments we used to live in, so it is the same one that Lucy first went in... when she was 4 months old.  Yes.... you read that right... her first April we took her swimming - outside!  It was/is a super nice pool with a great view, and the best part is that it is heated year round... so it was a fun place to be!  It was so fun on several different levels, to see the joy on Lucy's face at getting to splash without getting in trouble for making a mess, to see her kick her legs like crazy and realize that it was helping her stay up higher in the water, to see her excitement when being thrown in the air between Jamie and me... and then the other big huge thing that made it fun was getting to spend time with Jaime.  She is pretty much the best friend anyone could ask for!  She has this way of making things better... she is a genuinely nice person, that just wants the best for everyone and does everything she can to help people be happy!  She has a goofy sense of humor and keeps me laughing more often than not... and she loves Lucy... and Lucy adores Jaime... I had to take Lucy to the potty about 30 minutes in to swimming... when we came back out to the pool, she saw Jaime and just yelled at her in her crazy excited voice, "Jaime!!! I'm back... let's swim on the mountain!!"  There are these little fountains with a little area that little ones can play in, and that was where Lucy was for a long time - it is only about 18 inches deep, so she can run and play and I can relax a little more... but she for some reason thinks they are mountains... no matter how many times I told her they were fountains!  Funny girl!  At any rate... I was being a better mom today than the last time and remembered my camera... so here are some funny pics of my cutie pie!
