Family date to the temple

Thursday we took a family date to the temple - it was so great!  Lucy woke up in such a great mood that morning because she was soooo excited to see the temple!  It was so cute!  She was a great traveler - laughing and talking and singing the whole way up - making funny faces and just getting me to crack up all the time!   Lucy was insistent that we have a picnic on the temple lawn - it was a balmy 45 degrees, so being the indulgent parents we are, we stopped and got sandwiches and had our picnic!  They have the coolest Nativity outside the temple - it is HUGE and Lucy thought it was soooo cool!  After eating she wanted to run on the grass for a little bit, and we took her around to the brides bench (interestingly it has all been rearranged back there since we were married - it is beautiful, but very strange to see it all different!)  It was such a great day though, being with my family and doing such a great thing together.  The Spirit was strong and we all were able to e really happy the whole day! What a great way to prepare for Christmas and celebrating Christ's birth!
