Christmas

We had a great Christmas in 2010! Christmas Eve we went to Grandma Lolly and Grandpa Toad's house for a potluck dinner and then a Christmas story family home evening.  It was really fun!  I loved watching the kids as they acted out the Christmas story... Lucy was a shepherd and was so adorable with baby Jesus - wanting to make sure that he was safe and comfortable!

Lucy loved cuddling with various people... here is was Loren that got lucky!

Grandpa wrote a story as a gift for the family for Christmas - when Jason was little and Grandpa Toad was gone, he would record stories for the kids about all these animals and their adventures... there was Trisha Cow, Hawk Birdie, Rumble Bottom, Leonacious Lion (those are the ones I remember!) so he wrote a new story for the kids this year... they all loved hearing it!

When we got home we put out some cookies for Santa and some carrots for the deer... Lucy was somewhat confused by this...
Coming down Christmas morning was very exciting!  Lucy was really happy that Sean and Mera were here to share the time with her!  She had told Jason the day before as we were putting the stockings up that she was just going to sleep on the couch so she could tell Santa hi when he came over!  I thought we would have a few more years before that happened... but it sure was cute!
Lucy was amazed to see that the treats were all gone and that Santa had left a note for her thanking her for being a good girl all year and reminding her to be one for the upcoming year as well!
Her stocking was actually more of a whole hearth thing... she had this shopping cart filled with lots of stuff and then there were other things in the actual stocking too.  She thought it was all pretty great!

The rest of the day was just a fun and relaxing time... Nana and Bompa were here with us, so we opened presents, played games, and later in the day had a terrific dinner - Prime Rib and lobster tail.... soooo yummy!  It was a really great day filled with love!
