a few house pictures

because everyone has been asking... here are a few pictures of the new house.  I am a dork and don't have any pictures of the outside... and the pictures that we do have are of the inside before we signed the papers - so it looks a little better than it does now... just because we are scraping popcorn, taking down trim and stuff like that, so it is a total mess right now... but I will try to get more pictures so we can do the work in progress kinda thing!

This is the fireplace in the family room... further down on the right side of the room was some built in shelves that we just took out - they were really pretty, but placed very strangely... so we are going to put the shelves in a different room and build our own in here! also - you can't tell from the picture, but they tried to do a crazy paint job that was supposed to look cool, but just looks like crap - this is the case in most of the rooms - the colors are nice, but the paint job is crappy!

Lucy is sitting on the island in the kitchen here - so you can see the whole family room in the background... see that wall 'o windows?  it is really stunning!

This is the dining room - again... the colors are nice as long as you are looking from a distance!  We just took down the trim on the bottom of the walls - the rectangle ones because they were really really tacky if you looked at them anywhere close!  it is already looking better!

These are the stairs going up - the front door is just to the right of the picture... the door that you can see goes in to the garage and to the right of that is the powder room... you can walk through that little walk way to get to the kitchen, or you can also get to the kitchen from the dining room.

These two are of the bonus room in the basement that is going to be my salon - pretty great, right?

And these last two are of the nice room in the basement... we will call it a play room for lack of anything better to call it... but it was like an adult play room... they had a bar and pool table in there before. I think it will mostly be an office, craft room, glass room kinda thing for us! oh.. and the French doors open to the second deck - that is also attached to the upper deck with stairs!
