Lucy has always had a special relationship with Tiffany... she is our number 1 babysitter and is so good with her - the first night we got there, Lucy went to Tiffany and just cuddled her... this may not sound strange to anyone else, but Lucy just doesn't do that too often... so it is a privilege when she does!
For FHE we decided to finger paint - I got this great idea off one of my friend's blogs - she did Autumn trees by having her daughter dip her arm and hand in brown paint and put it on the paper as the trunk and branches, then using all kinds of different colors to make the leaves - it is cool because it is a way to always remember the size they have been - kids grow too darned fast... and the other cool thing was that they all turned out totally different! I will be framing Lucy's as soon as I get a spare minute!
Lucy loves to read books - so she had a thing where she would go get a book and take it to one of the Platt kids to have it read to her - this particular night was a Calvin night - it it was seriously too cute!
Calvin was really good with her too, and seemed to enjoy reading to her!
This was my favorite picture though... you have read before that we joke that Lucy and Calvin will be married one day, so we took this one to put in the wedding album! But really... it was just cute!
Hallie was gone most of the time, but the time that she was home was spent trying to get Lucy to say her name. I am happy to report that her hard work paid off...and actually got Lucy to the point that she used everyone's names as follows:
Hallie = Hadie
Tiffany = Tippany, Tippy or Tip
Logan = Ogan
Landon = Andon
Calvin = Calbin
Root-beer (the Guinea Pig) = RB (this one we got lucky on, because the family already used the nick-name!)
She even knew the names of the oldest two that are currently at BYU
Trenton = Tenton
Brittany = Bibany
I am afraid that most of these names were being used by the rest of the house by the end of the week too!
Lucy loves to jump on anything and everything... the Platt's have a trampoline, so it is only natural that the two would be a great fit! Logan was nice enough to take Lucy out on it for the first time one day after school... poor kid though, I don't think he realized the workout that he was in for! He was such a good sport... and Lucy loved every minute of it!
We really are so grateful to have good friends like the Platt family in our life! They are awesome people and have taught us a lot about who we are, who we want to be, parenting, and the things we want to improve on in our lives to be better people!
